Gelmersmotorsport has developed a conversion based on a YFZ450R, making it possible to install modern KTM motocross engines.
The conversion kit is available for the following KTM motorcycle years:
- 2018 – 2022 KTM/Husqvarna/GasGas 450
- 2023+ KTM/Husqvarna/GasGas 450
Some modifications to the original frame are necessary. The mounting point for the original cylinder head bracket needs to be adjusted. For engines from 2023 and newer, these modifications are more intensive, and we recommend having them done by us.
The base conversion kit will contain the following:
- Engine Mounts
- Gelmersmotorsport swingarm
- Engine Case bushing
The conversion kit can be expanded with a Gelmersmotorsport replacement underframe rail. Valued at €765, it comes pre-installed with the matching mounting points. A nice upgrade to replace the often heavily loaded and poor quality standard underframe rail.
